What is the difference between skin tonic and skin toner?

Hi, every one I'm not an american, I have large pores around my nose, Which product is better for me? I appreciate.What is the difference between skin tonic and skin toner?
Well I am using something that on the label is called a tonic but my facialist calls it a toner. I recommend the Origins Oil Refining Tonic, it helps refine pores and leaves skin with a matte finish.What is the difference between skin tonic and skin toner?
the skin tonic is much better because it is lighter and skin toner can cake on, and for pores you don't want cakey makeup the pores will get smaller
