Will a toner tone down the orangey look of my hair caused by henna?

I used henna to color my hair the other day and it's come out more orangey than I wanted - particularly over my old highlights. I was reading that a toner can help with the brassiness caused from bleach - will it work with henna, too?Will a toner tone down the orangey look of my hair caused by henna?
Henna will fade out that happened to me , the more you wash it the more its fades although maybe a toner would work , i would be careful though
