How do you apply toner to your hair?

I need to know what to buy from Sally's and how to apply it. I probably need something ashy because I'm toning down the brassiness of the bleach. Thanks! How do you apply toner to your hair?
u need to be careful with ashy toners they can turn your hair a gray to green looking color if you wind up not leaving it on long enough or leaving it on too long my best answer to u would be to get a beige toner and mix it with a little bit of a ash blonde that way u wont come out wrong i promise i did my sister's hair one Thanksgiving day and we were so afraid there would not be a store open that day but we found one drug store that had a beigey color and stayed away from the ashy color cause i had already turned it a gray to green color and my remedy fixed it. and i am a hairdresser of 27 years so....How do you apply toner to your hair?
Hey I have the same problem ....
Just to let you know there is a new product that we patented called the Sink Sav*r. it is a protective thin sink liner that was designed to prevent Hair dye from staining your sink while coloring your hair. It is very convenient because no one likes scrubbing their sink for an hour after dying their hair with a Sink Sav*r there is no clean up, you just ball it up and throw it away leaving your sink looking just like new. It only cost about $1.50 per liner but if you would like a free sample to test it out email me at sinksaver2007@yahoo.com and I will mail you a free sample. I hope you try it because I have been dying my hair for years in my sink and the Sink Sav*r makes dying your hair so much easier.
do not get a ash based toner, ask the sales associate to help you find a blue based toner to neutralize the brassiness. then apply following manufacturers directions
It's called a ';double process.'; First the hair is bleached and then the new color is added. If you want blonde hair, you must lighten your hair to a yellow stage, then apply a toner/color to achieve your color. It's difficult to bleach your hair by yourself, please let a friend help you with this method. You will find everything you need at the beauty supply store.

Next you will need a bleach packet with the liquid developer to make a creamy paste. It's best to use a 30-volume peroxide since you want to go blonde. Mix the developer and the bleach packet together until it's a creamy consistency, then apply it to your hair. When the shade of your hair is lightened to a yellow stage, thoroughly rinse your hair to remove all of the bleach. Next, shampoo and condition your hair and be sure to dry it. Then you will need to apply a toner or desired color. Good luck.
