What's the difference between ink and toner?

please explain in easy to understand terms, i'm not computer literate. thanks!What's the difference between ink and toner?
The real basic difference is Ink is liquid and Toner is powder.


The difference in printing is also different.


Ink is sprayed onto the page and dries in a few seconds, toner is electrically attracted to the page then a laser or LED light literally heats the toner onto the page to ';fix'; it.What's the difference between ink and toner?
